The Global Blue Spruce is a great plant to add into a shrub border as a specimen or as an accent. Its silvery foliage works well with dark colored plants. It is important to know that these plants if left unpruned may try to form back into a conical shape like their relatives. So all that is required is a quick snip of any tips that look like they are extending beyond the ball shape. Its an easy plant to grow and can be kept small by regular trimming of the tips.
